2021 and New Goals
When 2020 came around, I had set a lot of goals for growth. Like most, the majority of those goals got derailed by a pandemic.
Most of the year I found myself just trying to survive managing home, life, and work. Photography as a service to others fell by the wayside, but I continued taking photos of my kids in hopes that they could have some memories of those crazy first months at home.
Towards the end of the year, a friend had asked if I could take her maternity photos, and it reminded me of how much I loved doing this. I had gone back and forth about doing my usual fall family minis, and I decided to just go for it. It was when I opened up those dates that I realized how many people’s perceptions had changed about professional photos. Now, life was slower. Now, the little things became big things. Now, it was worth the investment. Because now, we also became much more aware about how fragile life is. Now, having beautiful family photos as heirlooms felt more important.
I decided then to rebrand and make this venture a bit more real. I believe my pictures tell a unique story, and if you feel like it’s the kind of story you want told of your family, I’m here and ready to make that a reality.
In this blog you’ll find collections of sessions, session tips, travels, and the occasional gardening photo dump, making this space a bit more personal than most photography blogs. I hope, if anything, it brings you some joy and inspiration.
