Lake Arrowhead

Last summer, I still remember sitting around the table with my cousin and her family. We had a “Covid-safe” backyard barbeque to reconnect after the hard months of the lockdown and were excited to give our kids the chance to play. Her husband had a work call that included a raffle for a Lake Arrowhead stay, and, you guessed it, he won! Right then we were invited to join the adventure, and although it felt like the trip would be forever away, it all came to life this past weekend.

It turns out Lake Arrowhead is a private lake only accessible to those that live there or staying at the local resort. In our case, staying at a local’s home allowed us access to the lake as well. As beautiful as it all was, I did find it a little weird that a man-made lake was surrounded by homes that seemed to only house the wealthy. It was almost like the entire town was just an illusion, but… I digress. Perhaps some food for thought?

Here’s some snaps of our stay in the mountains :) It was filled with sun-drenched swims, delicious food, and plenty of laughter. I guess you can say it was fun pretending to be a part of the elite ;)
