Delapena Malibu Family Session

My favorite part about my photography work is getting to connect with some really great families and capturing their magic. This family was definitely one of them. They exude so much fun and joy, and I couldn’t help but smile at the lucky chance to get to work with them.

They were looking for a fun summer session, but of course you can’t control that Malibu marine layer - but we still had fun! To be honest, as the photographer, I actually do enjoy the marine layer. It helps produce very beautiful and evenly lit images so there’s no harsh shadows on anyone. It helps add an extra joyful glow to them too - not that the Delapenas needed it much :)
