Leon Family - Malibu Maternity Session

In the midst of June, I was looking forward to a maternity session along the coast, but, as we were planning for a sunset session, we couldn’t quite plan for the longest June Gloom season many of us have ever experienced. The perks? It was nice and cool by the water, and the marine layer is actually really beautiful as it adds a natural glow to your portraits. Plus, you have the waves crashing in which always helps to add an element of calm, and I must say that it turned out to be such a fun and easy-going session with these two - especially as we saw seagulls having their own little dance party while a Thor toy washed up on shore (you had to be there).

Beach sessions are great for maternity sessions and for families with kids that have already grown comfortable with being by the beach, but note that there is a travel fee involved to cover for fuel and time.
